How do medical doctor obtain my medical records in canada? i have been going to one medical doctor my whole life, if i go to a new medical doctor how do they get my medical records?

What is the dealio with that? Ive heard some doctors charging £10 then others over £50. Ive asked my doctor and he said £55. I think thats ridiculous considering all he has to do is fill out a form that takes 5minutes..
