Is there a way where I can find the minimum time required for residency for each speciality? For example:
Neurosurgery = 7 years
Family Practice = 3 years
General Surgery = 5 years
Something like that.

Does age matter? Or just your health matters? Have you seen surgeons starting their residency in the 40-45 age range? Will it be harder to get accepted for residency at this age range?

Neuro is 2 years more than the regular 5-year residency in surgery, right? I'm 28 and in you position residency in surgery, right? You've got quite a ways to go, you might not even want to do surgery when part of the residency committee....
