I recently used Meebo and I must admit I'm a little paranoid about typing my IM login information into a site like this. How do they store my username and password for each of the separate IM services? I only feel comfortable when a site takes my password...

I go to type in my password when listing an item on the mp
and instead of the password being typed in the password box
it instead typed it in meebo chat, when i didn't even have the chat bar opened

Erailea it's not really a bug, meebo takes to bypass typing the password (site wide autocomplete....
You have to pay around it is to lower or close the chat bar .
It's not really a bug, meebo takes the forefront of the page when you are chatting.

So I recently noticed that friends can see whose profile you view on meebo.
Is there a way to change the settings there? I don't want people to know whose profile I view ninja btw. they can also see whose journal you're looking at, and also userstores...

Old Footer
No Footer
If you select the "Yes" one you will have the meebo bar on the bottom, the Old footer has no meebo....

It's such an annoying feature. I sign myself out whenever I notice .. but it signs me in automatically when I re-log in.

On the left roughly halfway down, is the option for "Footer Display....
To my gaia - account settings - Footer Display - No
The toolbar will be gone and no more meebo.

The instant messaging client on here, Meebo, is no longer appearing for me. I do not know what happened to it though :/

In your Account is? And just to make sure, "Footer Display" is set to "Yes" in your Account options right? Darien S.

+1 for Campfire though....
You can accomplish all of this pretty easily with ajax and those two actions on a ChatController in ASP.NET MVC .
All you really need is an action to post new messages to, an action to poll for updates, and a div to place the items .
