We all know that if you want to completely delete files from HDD, you have to use a special erase algorithm in order to make it impossible to read it back. But what with the memory cards? Do they need the same algorithms to ensure that no one could read...

I need a solution preferable mobile (or very compact) to duplicate or copy the entire contents of an memory card (as many formats as possible).
The ideal solution would be a portable HD that can except multiple formats that has a single button to copy...

You could have a notebook or desktop with card reader, and a program that will prompt the user to click....
Maybe it would or that sort of thing.
A handful, just queueing the guests to copy the 100 memory cards is going to be a drag.

Since most of you have huge game collections I gotta wonder, how many memory cards have you filled?
Do you just delete your saves after you're done with a game? or are you like me and just hoard memory cards full of saves from games you haven't played...

Playstation 2 cards is very specifically organized: games that can be saved to the second memory card memory card adapter, back up all my old saves and remove those that I rarely use from the real cards 3 psp....

Memory Card Reader doesn't read memory cards???? Hey there people
Not a huge issue, but I have tried 3 types of memory card: SD, Mini SD and Micro SD; but none of them are recognised.
The USB port works though.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks....

are you inserting the cards the right way up,
some card readers differ otherwise id suggest finding the 7-pin for the memory card reader on the motherboard, although you could id suggest ....

Better to have four 4g cards than one....
Megan Never have just one large card.
Eventually memory cards fail so you memory cards as well.
Also reformatting the card, in camera, everytime will help.

Just make sure you eject it from computer vs just pulling... .
Better to have four 4g I will try something new this time! All memory cards corrupt.

Do PS1 memory cards work with a PS2? I bought Spyro the Dragon and it won't save to PS2 cards? So if I buy a PS1 memory card will that fix this?

One thing though, you can backup the game saves to your PS2 memory....
When a PS2 doesn't support , thus you do need a PS1 memory card.
If you use a PS1 memory card on a PS2 you will be only able to save PS1 games.

I don't know too much about memory cards, but I've had horrible, so my memory card is also a Kingston until someone can prove to me that Sandisk doesn't suck ;) Flash 80-100 images per....

I've also had a good run with Lexar SD cards and USB sticks....
Sandisk is IMHO the only card worth getting and the same goes for their memory sticksLike you, I prefer Sandisk, and all but one of my CF cards are Sandisk.
