The focus mode I use most light, I use One Shot, because that' the mode that activates the AF assist light on the flash the middle, but I'll move it around when needed....

Good exposure than the best way is to use Spot metering and Manual Mode.

The same is true if focusing mode selected is 1 point and the metering mode is spot.
mode are spot, the metering is taken from the focus point NO MATTER where the focus point is moved to.

I did this on each metering mode and all the photos turned out the same on whatever....
Doesn't matter what meter mode your using with focus point focusing on him.
metering mode determines what your meter does.

I usually shoot in manual mode, isnt spot metering tho for the light meter? I thought you could shoot in any mode (well almost any) and still be able to pic your meter mode? Share Share_merrifi partial....

The worst is when you weighted or spot (7d) metering and meter for the skin tone, lock-compose-focus-fire.
Shooting Av mode using evaluative metering as no situation is the same.
