I've been shooting mostly sports with my D300S, and have an SB400, which is fairly limiting. I want a better unit to use on the camera, and on a stand for portraits and other work. I've read most of the reviews on speedlights.net and had pretty well narrowed...

The Metz has a higher GN (especially zoomed) and is over $100 cheaper, but the SB700 has faster recycle, more accessories, and is supposedly easier to use.
Or the Metz 50.
