Let's suppose that for some reason c1000 is the only mic available and u need to choose pre for it, a pre that costs not more than 200 usd.
Which pre would you consider?
Does the mic pre even matter that much on a mic like c1000?

I suggest just using whatever interface or mixer pre you have available and save up for a better....
The pre might make the mic sound different, but that particular mic doesn't get a lot of love on these forums in the first place.

Saw this at Namm. $1299 street. Sounds nice. They were controlling it

Not remote controlled, and while very respectable it's still far from being the most expensive mic pre mic cable lengths and with the remote software just makes sense.

The pre is super "smack-ey" which I LOVE for bass mic.
Either that or Bass mic and one mono room mic.
In, which I rarely do on toms at all.
