I'm using debian stable with alsa, and have a mic. connected.
When I record sounds with the mic there is always a strong background noise.
The machine is a dual boot with Windows 7, and the mic. works perfectly under W7, that is, there is no background...

I think they did the same thing with the GE RANGR mobiles later from the eastern US .
Quite a classic mic.
The d button was used with the channel selector.
Most likely a CHP lowband micor mic, Jimmy should be able to confirm.

So I'll need two cables from the bass to the amp, one for pickup and one for the mic.
