Alternatively you expect to be able to hear yourself through the speakers though.
Press stop, then play and see if it hears you.

The other people can't hear, and i sound "underwater." Same....
As it uses the mic of the mobile this for several reasons, but a 'home polycom' was one of the main use cases .
The cable works a lot better for me and the other party hears me ok.

For the last several weeks I have had trouble with calls. I can hear them talking but the people on the other line hears nothing at all. I took into apple and they restored it but still not working. Can anyone help me, please????

Check the choice here matches the one in iChat Menu > Preferences > Video section > Microphone.

It should have Camera Enabled ticked as well as Microphone enabled ticked.
