I am looking for any advice on a seat that will keep my bony butt comfortable for those 2 hour plus rides that are mostly freeway miles. I have gone on a few long rides, but I have found that if I am not taking backroads, and just freeway, my butt starts...

Of the riding position not much is going to help...ride until your sore, then get off the bike on a 216 mile (there/back) trip and resting on the tank helped a lot whenever my ass felt sore..

Sounds like I could soon be a GS owner if I can plate 1200GS in yellow today - even higher mileage than I originally asked about at 73k but it rides.
A punt! Just make sure you take it for a good test ride.

Ok so I bought the 2012 xp 900 4 and we love it. I have read a few threads about some engines dying after 1000 miles. I was wondering how everyone else is doing with their mileage on your rides and any issues you have had. Thanks i love this thing

What do YOU consider...

In traffic it's 10 miles, but in the country 250 is a good ride for me.
If it's only a one day ride, but if your doing back to back rides for 3 or more days in a row, than I like than twice, it's a long ride.

I did my first 50 mile ride yesterday morning. It was kinda cold, a bit windy and varying terrain. I completed it in 3:14 without stopping. How does that sound for a first 50m?
