You can call ar_mailer....
Various flaws, but also has some benefits (for example, with your 1-Rake-per-minute, it the Rake task takes more than one minute, Rake will be running multiple times at once)
Also, the Railscasts the ar_mailer command.

Anybody seen 3 Minute Pasta for sale in the Hobart area? The brands I know of are Vetta Express and San Remo Pasta Pronto.
New Town Coles and Woollies are not stocking them any more and 2 minute noodles with bolognaise sauce just doesn't do it for me!...
