I'm considering buying another Model 65 revolver (I used to have one before parting with it after my agency switched from revolvers to semi-auto pistols back in the early 90's or late 80's) and I always planned on getting another one-of course, now the...

I'd really be interested in a Model 65 LadySmith-now that's the "Holy Grail" in my book, was issued a Model 65.

I thought I would remain satisfied with my 50" panasonic commercial plasma panel for ever especially since we are predominantly audiophiles and have a really nice bel canto/von schweikert system, etc. However, my wife has caught the upgrade bug while ...

Smith & Wesson Model 65 vs Ruger Model GP-100
Years ago, after my agency made the switch from revolvers to semi-autos, I gave my oldest daughter my now retired service revolver, a Smith Model 65 (which had replaced a Model 13 previously) as a Christmas...

The SP-101 is like a Model 60 with 5 shots, a 3 Model 60 Pro....
The GP-100 is more comparable to the 686, both in weight and size .
I dont see them too often.
I believe the Model 65 is more comparable to the Ruger Service Six.

While at a gunshop today I saw a lock model 65 with what appeared to be nightsights. There were glass windows on both sides of the rear sight notch and a glass window in front sight. I couldn't tell if they were still glowing, they didn't appear to be...

A friend showed me his stainless model 65-3 the other day. I'm not familiar with the model but it seemed like a very nice weapon. Tried googling and searching this forum but can't seem to find much info. I did see some posts on a different forum which...

It's a little heavy....
The Model 13 and 65 are simply no frills utility.
The Model 13, 19, 65, these weapons will last for decades without problem.
This usually takes thousands of rounds, though.
And eventually frame cracking.

I have not had a chance to shoot it or clean it or do anything else a good gun owner should do, but at least it is in my possession now. Really looking forward to seeing how it compares to the model 13 I acquired a few weeks ago.

Beautiful 65!
I really like the smooth backstrap on the 65/13..
Cast SWC's & unique powder.
It is a great shooter, with 158gr.
I shot my #65 yesterday, about 25 times.
Congrats, looks good.

As much as i usually despise late model pickup boxes on early trucks that thing is very cool.
I'll assume somewhere in the midwest into stacks...
All of those are.
From the Renntransporter 65 Tbirds are worth restoring.
