With databases over the 2 years of my professional career, and I cannot recommend this textbook enough that was heavily recommended at the time I learned relational modeling was Database Design for Mere Mortals by Michael Hernandez.

For example, if it is a workflow, I may model it as a series of stations, a manager, a router, but it certainly doesn't help get....
Otherwise i consider that there will eventually be differences between the model and the code patterns.

The issue is how 'good' are you as a developer, how good... .
I really don't see how you could go wrong with it as a career if it's a good career move (there are plentiful jobs in both markets).
