When I make mine I refrigerate them before I bake them this makes sure the molten centre is soft, it is not much different than a regular cake really, you just flash bake at 375 d F for 8-10 minutes essentially there just an underdone ....

Cake in a cup is what saved me! For whatever reason I would never....
Might not be real point friendly but its good that it is pre-portioned .
You might also look up recipes for molten lava cake that you can make in little cups.
