I have not experienced great results from Craigslist. I received about 5 leads on Craigslist and only one converted into a sale. I have stopped using Craigslist and now I use Backpage. Backpage has better customer service and is more flexible. source

The way I see it, with the Erotic Service section you could at least find where hookers are soliciting their services and do something about them. With that section gone, it'll be harder for authorities to keep track of them. Not to mention you hurt legitimate businesses that uses that section. source
