Moon Landing

If one looks at the hoax "theory" in total, it becomes apparent it is little more than a fairy tale based on a handful of mistaken observations and assumptions. You may see a hundred examples of so-called hoax evidence, but it is mostly just repeated samples of the same misinterpreted phenomena. For those who have convinced themselves Apollo was nothing more than a hoax, it becomes necessary to create a story that fits the remaining evidence and is consistent with the hoax plot. For example, one must explain the existence of the Moon rocks, so the hoax advocates claim the rocks are fakes even though there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary. They make this claim only because it is crucial to the storyline. Another example is the claim the Soviet Union was faking its space program. Again, the hoax advocates have no proof, however they must invent an explanation for the Soviets' failure to challenge the moon landings. If you look critically at the hoax story you will see it is no more than an illusion. source

That was kind of a "in your face Russia" type of deal at a time. Plus tons of technology developed for space purposes that we now use in everyday life. source

I'm not arguing the moon landings didn't happen but why would these new pics convert the conspiracy theorists? Surely if you can believe NASA faked the landings you can believe that they can now use Photoshop. source

If nothing else the Russians would have been delighted to confirm the Moon landing as a fake. They never did because it wasn't faked, the Russian space agency was able to confirm and track the Americans progress the same way as mission control could. They had everything to gain from exposing a American fake but they couldn't because it did happen. The Russians then stopped there own race to the moon when they realised the American had beating them to it. source
