Some may ask "whats wrong with the psx versions etc?" and i say to them LOADING!!! never have i played a version of mortal kombat 2 with such chunky, meaty, splatty sounds effects a broken record, ....

Mortal Kombat 1,2,3: I NEED HELP!
I've been trying to play the original 3 Mortal Kombat games, but dang, these games feel hard. 1. Is there anywhere I can read tips? The range/timing for attacks feels so weird in this game, if I sweep kick the leg will go right through them sometimes....

I prefer to play this on my SNES though.
Nope :( That's weird because it's always in the top 10 downloads and it came out years ago.
:P It might be on the top ten now due to the $2.50 price for PS+ subscribers.

I'd start by reseating the chips that are marked as bad.
If the error still continues, replace them.
Hobbyroms can probably provide you with the roms you need.
Pull the daughter card off of the cpu and reseat it.
There should be a plastic standoff to ....

MK2 we will see a lot of it at this years E3.

I can beat Mortal Kombat I on very hard but I can't beat any others
Is the first game much easier than the other ones? Did they decide to make MK II and III a lot harder? I have them on Genesis if it matters.

I have Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on Saturn and I have one of the PS2 ones.
MK 4 though.
Spring 2011.
Simply titled Mortal Kombat .
It's a retelling of MK1 - MK3 if Raiden.

Mortal Kombat Kollection?
Ideally, they'll kompile all of the home, portable, and arkade inkarnations of MK, MK2, MK3, UMK3 and MK Trilogy. Menus loaded with tons of dipswitches and display options would be the iking on the kake. I admit that it's highly unlikely for them to expend that kind of effort, but anything less than that is probably going to be a no sale for me. Sega Ages set the bar really high for this sort of thing. Top 10. source

Mortal Kombat Armageddon would have been nice if had a 360 port. Now that Boon and crew works for WB, you can expect all the fatalities in MK9 to be clothes-on and shitty like they were in MKvsDC. Movie was Great. source

I agree the darker one looks too dark, but the brighter one is also too bright. It'd be great if you could get something inbetween. Killer Instinct. source
Is Mortal KombatIV underated?
If I could sum up MK4 in one word, it's, "unfinished". Like Mitsu said the generic win poses and such, and the rather large lack of features that the previous MK games set the bar to. It's essentially the KOFXII of MK, only KOFXII was a somewhat balanced fighter. Think the SNES is the best Console. source
