You could do that but then you'd have a $417k 1st mortgage and a $233k 2nd mortgage at a higher the 1st at 80% LTV or below would avoid PMI, a VA 1st mortgage would carry the 1.25% VA funding fee (unless you are exempt from paying....

Unfortunately, the research you have done is correct it will be approximately 2-3 yrs after the short sale was complete before you can qualify for a new mortgage to qualify for another loan right away....

I had one of those calls today from a claims company and was introduced to what to me seemed a new angle on loan misselling.
Apparently it was always wrong to roll up any arrangement fees with the original loan?
It seems basically to be an extrapolation...
