Anyone know of an algorithm that can return fuzzy true/false to if a image has motion blur / camera shake in a image?
Ideally it would be particular to motion blur, as lots of the images in the set might have blurred ( Bokeh ) backgrounds.
A language ...

For a binary decision, you threshold the amount to a desired level and everything above that... .
And quantifying blur in images by using the DWT.
Your mileage may vary, e.g.
Motion blur filters the high frequencies out.
For true/false.

I'm thinking of chucking motion blur into my 2D program, but I doubt the results of my current algorithm.
My approach looks like this at the moment:
Draw to backbuffer. When time to update front buffer, blend the backbuffer onto the front buffer. Repeat...

This isn't really the same thing as motion blur that this is essentially how motion blurring in OpenGL is done (through accumulation buffer)
There is no real way.
Rendering onto an old CRT with slow phosphor.

To me blur.
At images at 1:1 pixel on your screen, it might make sense to think about per-pixel motion blur.

Anyone who says motion blur is a myth apparently also thinks that a fast speed still camera does not reduce motion....
The interpolation motion compensation options to reduce motion blur normally have different.

Sharpness is not a real signal adjustment....
Or even off.
Turn sharpness down.
Playing with sharpness and contrast could help a bit but for the mos part, it's normal, though the jaggedness usually is worse the closer you get .
Sounds like a normal LCD/HD TV to me.

Hi,
Does anyone have the latest Photoshop or other such with "motion de-blur" filter?
If anyone can fix the picture at the link below and store it somewhere full size I would be very grateful.

It's very prone to tone inconsistencies from frame to frame (ie flicker)
First line of defense: Shoot your brackets manual with the aperture... .
You could stop using Photomatix.
This is very similar to using the 'time-blend' filter in AE, works wonders .
