Any time i try to debug in visual studio 2008 my entire system will freeze whenever a breakpoint is hit.
I can move the mouse around and that remains responsive but nothing i click on does anything, I can bring up the task manager but can't do anything...

When I connect my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro, iTunes "freezes": the spinning beachball appears, and it will not respond to any mouse clicks or key presses. Activity Monitor shows iTunes as "Not Responding".

I'll leave this question unanswered for a while in case the problem recurs... .
So everything is "fixed" for the time being.
After I let it sit with iPhone connected and iTunes frozen for about twenty minutes, iTunes finally unfroze, and synched the iPhone .

If you did install any services recently, try removing them .
Hanging during that stage may or may not be a service .
If anything shows up, like disk errors, diagnose that problem .
You should first check yor event logs, after the system boots .
