Of modern movies are really good the movie industry didn't decay as much as the music industry and such, then you can talk.

As Rupert Murdoch has said before, movie making is a bit of a lottery, good films can flop without any clear....
Film4 went bankrupt IIRC.
Which no one in the USA wanted to see after 9/11, which happened shortly after the movie was completed.
