Which version do you like better?
In my opinion I like the stage version.. the song between Elsa and Max ("How Can Love Survive?") is really nice.
I also like some of the changes in the script as well.

I always thought the only difference between an original version and a movie tie-in version was that they changed the original cover to a still from the movie, and that's it. However, on another forum I frequent there's a guy who says movie tie-ins often...

In extremely rare cases, a movie tie-in book may also be a "re-telling" or abridgement that's not a movie tie-in to prove that movie tie-ins sometimes change stuff? I'm surprised it even stayed on wikipedia that long.

But all that said, I think a musical production of SOM based on the movie would be very successful.
That aren't in the movie, and I think Lonely Goatherd works better in the bedroom than Favorite Things.

Was anyone else here not too impressed/fond of Richard Beymer's performance in the film version of WSS? Even when I first saw the movie when I was younger, I never really liked him as Tony. The fact that he doesn't sing isn't my biggest issue with him...
