1) I was reading that article re vintage pres on the Mercenary website, and Fletcher wrote that he since learned he'd got it wrong re the pres used in Motown recordings (I guess in the 60's)... you know, with that appealing distortion...

I believe the White album was the first one recorded on a solid .
Is (was) some equipment located at the 'newer' location for Muscle Shoals Sound (Rolling Stones, etc -- all you in on the Muscle Shoals stuff.

In addition, Birmingham's City Stages has announced that it is closing down
and I expect that Montgomery's annual weekend festival will either close
down or significantly downsize. Hard times....though the Birmingham and
Montgomery events have suffered...

Anyone ever play the trail? I will be going in early March for a weekend only, Friday through Sunday. We will be playing in Muscle Shoals. I would like to do the whole trail sometime. Just curious if anyone has played there?
