Okay, so i have written plenty of guitar pieces, and i can play keyboard, bass and sing. But i cannot play drums, or own a set of drums so therefore cannot record any drum tracks. Anyone got any ideas how i could make a great sounding song without drums...

Think about an electric drum kit! it's somewhat closer to reality than a GH drum...
If you can't have an acoustic drum in your house for noise reasons...

Recording actual drums with good drums really played by a real person....
If you just want basic drum tracks, use a programming software like ez drummer or something similar.
500 bucks is pretty thin for a real kit and mics, or an e-kit .
