Which requires a four-speaker set-up and takes 2-channel signals to provide a faux surround sound. I have four speakers that are the same brand and model that have been sitting around collecting dust, been thinking about setting them up for this purpose...

A semester of computer music, I distinctly remember Logic being much more intuitive and easy to do for the YM (3-voice) chip in the Atari St and using a tracker style sequencer to make music.

I know ask a stupid question right. Basically I know logic pro now sells for 199. Does it come with all the instruments and plug ins of logic studio just without the extra programs like mainstage etc?

Especially helpful for electronic music.
Ableton for electronic music.
No clear winner here.
For production Logic and Live have their own workflow.

I just ordered a mac book pro quad core.
I am guessing lion will be installed.
I already have heard about the logic 8 not working on lion (I will have to install it fresh, which won't work).
So the $199 purchase right off the top will hurt ...

Sound Storm Radio 9 actually has more content than 8 .
If you buy from the app store, you download/install it from within the Logic menu.
Logic Pro 9 comes with about 38GB content.

If youIve used Sonar and Logic and found Sonar much more productive.
I own Logic 9 and Pro Tools 10, never used Sonar.
