As a practical matter, I don't see any way a mutual fund could turn a profit charging 0.5-1.5 invested.
I would imagine that a day-trading mutual fund would.

Who cares? There's no reason to divide into mutual fund and ETF....
One big difference is that it won’t make use of derivatives the way the mutual fund does.
Be the same portfolio as the Total Return mutual fund.

Vanguard Wellsley is my core fund making up approximately 27% of my total. With that in mind do you think I can have a nicely allocated portfolio for retirement using only 3 or 4 mutual funds?
I own Wellsley through Vanguard and all of my other funds ...

A 529 account can hold a mutual fund.
A mutual fund is a type of investment.

For example, the Vanguard Emerging Markets fund has a .25% purchase fee with a .22% expense ratio if I buy it in my roth IRA.
On the other hand, the VWO ETF has the same .22 expense ratio and no purchase fee(brokerage fee if I buy it via the 25 free trades...

I tend to use the ETFs to avoid Vanguard funds with fees fund charges both a purchase fee and a redemption fee.
Share as it does with a mutual fund share.

My RRSP account is taking a fucking shit kicking.. Currently invested with Dynamic Funds.. I don't pretend to be a financial wizard (This is what my advisor does)... Not working with baller amounts of cash but fuck -13% is killer, it's not 2008 anymore...
