If I upgrade the internal wireless G card in my Dell Inspiron B130 laptop to a wireless N card, will I be able to plug in the laptop's built-in wireless G antenna and expect that to work?

If your laptop only has one and the new wireless N card wants to use.
However, there are some wireless N cards that can use multiple antennas.

I would like to buy a new wireless n router but keep my wireless g router for the sake of supporting older wifi-enabled devices. Can i put these 2 routers next to each other and configure them so they won't interfere with each other?

Can you find just a wireless-N router, without backward support for A/B/G? I haven't looked, but I would guess....
Support simultanious use of both N and G wireless networks with no downsides, so you may prefer to just do this.

I'm looking at a laptop purchase and considering whether to pay more for a card that does 802.11 n as well as 802.11a,b,g.
All the pulic networks I see always run 802.11b. I know a and g have more throughput but I seldom maximize the throughput of b. ...

802.11a used the 5Ghz range instead of 2.4Ghz for b and g but needed licensing in some countries and was ....
But faster.
Generally speaking b is a dead tech and was entirely superseded by g which is the same as far as frequencies range etc.
