I'm a pretty big NASCAR fan, though I don't talk about it much here because it tends to induce numerous postings of "NASCAR sucks" from fans of other motorsports.

Nascar is going to EFI Not a Big fan of Nascar since the death of Dale but I was flippin through the channels and Nascar has started testing at Daytona and the big talk is there goin to EFI ... I wonder how this will affect the restricter plate races ...

I quit watching/caring about Nascar years ago when the airbags and headlights out of a stock Charger/Mustang/Camaro/etc, throw a cage in it and run been for a long time.
Car" racing is a joke, has been for a long time .

How could I make a 1980's replica nascar? What model car did they use, and what size engine, 4,5 or 6 speed manual trans, what horsepower level, is it possible?
IF not, I plan to buy a fox body mustang, and make my own "custom" nascar with the lovely ...

Nascar is now using E85 fuel.
Don't know if any power gains, but fuel miliage is less.
I've heard rumors that next year nascar is going to fuel injection.
Jetting would have to be close to 15%-20% richer using E85. Bill 67 mustang,C-4, with mod. 80 log...

The negitive side it just gives nascar another way to regulate the engines output.
Don't know if any power gains, but fuel miliage is less close to 100% gasoline .
