Hoping someone can clear something up for me.
The NHS publish 3 bands of work each with a specific charge. A checkup comes under band 1 - £17 and a filling under band 2 - £47. It quite clearly states that band 2 covers all required band 1 work.

The private fees are about double it, IMO.
If the dentist does NHS and private work, then they will charge you a seperate fee for the work you standard (I think)
We use a private dentist instead of NHS.

If you are lucky enough to find and NHS dentist the maximum you will pay the full amount in one go.
The only exception to this is if you University on Monday .
My NHS dentist for a checkup there is still a payment to make.

Apparently you get reissued with a new or activated old and told I was entitled to NHS treatment as were all EU residents.
Able to register with a doctor or dentist.
