It is kind of vague and stupid, Nautilus is a much better name. and how do i change it? thanks

Awesome, dude !! i love the flexibility in this OS It is actually quite convenient hmmm .... .
How to change? Edit the name entry in the file /usr/share/applications/nautilus.desktop to whatever you want and that should be all that is needed .
Why? No idea.
I don't have any option in the Global Menu when I run Nautilus as root. Therefore I have no way to access these options (and their sub-options): File, Edit, View, History, Go, Bookmarks, Help. All I can do is what's available in the right-click context...

Why answer menu doesn't show....

I am hoping someone else....
This is not a solution for creating it automatically using Nautilis but you could potential create a few of them on a share and copy them to each desktop .
You could create a new shortcut and prefix it with smb://[server]/[path] .
I want to give root or super-user privileges to nautilus by default. i am just about 6 months into using Linux, and i love to dig into the OS and make lots of changes, and install and remove software, and do a whole bunch of other stuff that requires ...

In Gnome, Nautilus File Manager is used. If I press "F5" key, Desktop or Nautilus Windows "X" Refreshes. I want to know, if it is possible to invoke this action from terminal. ie; a command if any exists? remember, I am not asking for "xrefresh" command...

If I do in terminal something as $ touch test Nautilus invoked for nautilus to refresh....

Simple fix, edit your menu and change the command to launch Nautilus to "nautilus --no-desktop 'gconf-editor' / > apps > nautilus > preferences toggle 'show_desktop' / > desktop > nautilus > preferences....

The primary group is irrelevant and Nautilus should work.
Should be able to create files.
