9mm Blazer and FC brass -- poor neck tension and set-backs .
Is it me or the brass.
As of late I have notice that Blazer (about 80%) and FC (about 50%) brass will keep way to little neck tension. I put all of my reloaded ammo in 50 or 100 round boxes...

The crimp does not replace neck tension.
I need neck tension, not a crimp.
The bell is gone.
For a 9mm, it should be about .3525 crimping.
Measure your expander rod or plug.
neck tension, not increasing it.

Neck tension question - .223
I've been reading up on neck tension lately, but I am a little confused about how to measure it. I realize it is measured as a dimension and not a force. Can you get the measurement you want by sizing a case (either FL or...

Neck tension is usually quantified/repeated via before and after sizing/seating measurements, given, I can measure bullet hold, neck tension is a crush/interference fit, crush/interference, as you say force must be determined....

Found that if you use bullets, case neck wall thickness, and sizing bushing that SHOULD result in .003" interference, you actually "net" only about .001" or less interference AFTER the neck walls have" interference.

I am new to the double bass. When I get all the strings up to pitch I see that the neck is pulled upward so that the space between the strings and the fingerboard has increased. The luthier from whom I bought the bass says this is OK. I surely would like...

If the neck is pulling forwards this way, not good news.
Check the neck/body joint for cracks.
If they are more than that the bass will be harder than it needs be to play .

Well to the quality....
Bendings are a lot easier on the SG because cords are more soft, there is less tension.
All of you could argue that the gibson SG has a better neck but cord tension isn't something related and there is no match.
