You could build a vein illumination device with a bright flashlight and a red filter, look up Veinlite.
I had a few nice, yet girly veins back in he day down.
And get a handle on the needle fixation..

The injection may be temporarily damaging is really a vein puncture...is more of a pinpoint bruise.

I get gushers too! What I do is to keep slight pressure on the injection site right after removing the needle from my skin. I avoid the areas where I had lots of bleeding before so as to not nick the capilary there again. I use a 5/16th needle length ...

It takes about 15 - 20 mins

A tiny very fine needle and they place it into the vein and zap it you are left with pink or red marks where the vein was for about 2 weeks then they disappear.
