How can you create an image of a dvd that is bootable? And by that I mean create an image which will let you burn a new dvd which is also bootable.
What application should you use? And what actually makes the dvd bootable?

bootable though - presumably some kind of flag? It's something that's part of the data/image Tools and Imageburn has an option to create iso....
Is easier if you have Nero installed already.

Seems everything out there refers to doing things the other way around; make a USB from DVD. For a project I'm working on at work I need to take a bootable Acronis (legal software, thank you) USB stick w/ image and create a bootable DVD with everything...

From there, I used a program such as CDBurnerXP Pro of a bootable floppy disk using dd.exe.
From a bootable floppy disk in an .IMA or .IMG format.

I have a bootable CD which I want to transfer to a USB memory stick so that the PC will boot the application from the stick instead of the CD. How can I do this? I have installed both Nero and Acronis True Image, but neither of thse apps seem to do this...

Douglas yes nero does bootable cds no probs Which files are they? Why you want to 'convert' them drivers etc and Nero....
You must.
You can burn bootable cds in Nero,
I imagine it'd explain in the help files how todo this.
