I have an old house. it has P&L pretty much everywhere. i am going to take down the P&L on the walls, to add insulation. but i do not need to do this for the ceiling. i understand that putting drywall right over the P&L is ok. is this correct ? if so,...

It would be far better to also (probably like your P&L), but I'm not sure how that would play out with an added drywall layer temp bedroom, while i do thee bedroom....
And new framing for the new, different sized windows i am getting.

Doing minor overhaul in a 1995 double wide manufactured home and need some advice on the closet drywall.
The drywall doesn't wrap the header. It hangs down all by itself to provide a "fake" 2" front cover for the sliding door hangers. It's flimsy at best...

I have a small gap from the edge of the shower pan/riser and the drywall.
Is it okay to fill this with joint compound or should I cut a scrap hunk and stick it in there too?
