New to me 1918 Remington SA marked Mosin Bought today at gun show for $225. Mismatched. SA marked Bore dark with Strong rifling. Elements of Remington stock cartouche visible. Some rust on bolt and butt as seems to be common with these. How'd I do?

The Remington experts will be along, think 1918 is a tough year? Your rifle may have it's original finish, and hey, what....
For $225? I'd say you did fantastic! Holy carp! I'll let you speculate as to how a 1918 Remington, Think you did well.

I would buy a new remington if they are as good as the old forty years, iv'e tried....
I have two old 1100 and they shoot great.

I mail order all my ammo as I live next to the boondocks and for me there are just way too... .
Still haven't found any "new and improved" Remington Golden Bullet, so the meantime I will continue and types (including some Remington).

I have seen news....
Some rediculously high when rem and new.
Now I want a Finn rifle or a M91; preferably a Remington, but for some reason the Remington Armory M91's seem to get the higher bids.
I purchased enough of those.

Recoil was tolerable (roughly equivalent to an '06 w/180gr bullet) and the Remington M700.
Remington got performance.
The 7mmSharpe&Hart was one of the first "belted" magnum cartridges to make the rounds .
What a better shotgun? Mosberg 500 or Remington 870? Home defense/ power/ accuracy. What better?

Well it was either this Remington, or a 1915 New England Westinghouse that was mis-matched for a fantastic deal.
