We had to do som trickery.
The commenting section) and we created a custom web part that we added to the page layout for news.
The commenting part of it to get it to work with your news section however.

Does anyone know if there are standards / api to crawl news articles from most of the biggest news sources.
I'm using rss to index them but I would like to classify them with more data than just their titles.

When reading news outside of my RSS reader, I often use Readability to filter out everything to be indexed when a crawling is detected.
