On Sunday afternoon the pastor of a large Baptist church that I was a member of for many years (though not currently) died. He'd been a pastor of this church for 29 years until his retirement about 10 years ago. He was well respected in the community....

There is NO mention of his passing in the newspaper AT ALL it's the family....
At the newspaper I formerly worked at, we would do is not a wealthy church, but it isn't poor either.
Obituaries are paid placements in the newspaper.
My mother had a massive stroke with irreversible brain damage. There are so many things going through my mind right now. I just thought who would write the obituary? Do I need to do this?
