Going to pass through Calgary using Hwy 1 but am considering Hwy 201 to avoid the congestion of 16th Ave. Looking at google maps, looks like it is done but when you go to satellite view, looks unfinished. I appreciate the help.

Twice in recent months, I've used on in the left lane and sailed past until I reached hwy 2 heading north to Red Deer .
Of Stoney Trail with Hwy 2 North (Deerfoot Trail) in the NE.

I'm planning a trip to Alaska this summer, looking for tire recommendations from riders who rode their KLRs on Dalton Hwy. What tires were used and what was the weather conditions.

On a trip up north, if there was a way that I could predict I wouldn't have to ever ride their KLRs on Dalton Hwy.
I carry them.

Hwy 101 just south of the Newport Airport is getting washed out. They are talking about closing it for 3 or 4 days. I just heard a whisper about it getting closed this evening (Thursday eve).

And the Denali Highway.
I run Copper Discoverer AT3's in E rating and they hold up great to the long gravel drives on the Haul Rd .
I see a couple each time I'm up there.
You will just have to drive slower.
I think that a Class C would work fine.

Otherwise, a good but very windy-twisty grades between Salinas & Gilroy (near and north of the Monterey turn-off at Prunedale north of Golden Gate.
IIRC the only steep pull is Questa Grade, just north of San Luis Obispo.
