Hi Everyone,
I've just booked in for my 12 week/nuchal translucency scan and was told that it's going to cost $350. Just wondering if this is normal? I've already had a dating scan at the same place which cost $220 ($50 of which I got back from Medicare...

Where as i have ton get bloods 4 days earlier .
Is in Sydney I had a dating scan in Perth and it was fully covered by Medicare and I had my NT scan get your bloods and scan done all in one day and still get the results that day.

Good morning, I wanted a little advice on the Nuchal scans. I am currently 9 and half weeks pregnant with twins. My friend was too late for her nuchal scan with the NHS so never had one, just a blood test.

Nuchal translucency measures in cms? my scan report shows nuchal tranclucency measures in 0.14 cms , just i know is good or not

I had my scan done on 4/4 and was wondering how long you had to wait for the results? I've not heard anything yet. The results won'take an awful lot of different either way if I'm honest just curious! X

They told me they'd call me in a week if there was ... .
If low then it's alittle longer.
I was told they'd be in touch within 3 days if it was high risk, otherwise I'd get a letter in about 3 weeks Yea i think they get intouch within a week if high risk. .

Feeling so nervous, i have my first scan tomorrow morning and am not sure what we will find. I had a mmc last october and found out at this time that there was no heartbeat. I have been trying to be positive, but am just feeling really scared and emotions...

Can you look at my scan picture please.
I refused it, but just been gathering stuff together and was looking at my scan from 13+5, is this the nuchal fold they look at?
I have looked on Google and it looks like it is, just a bit unsure.

I did, and they happily obliged. Though she did tell me not to go painting the wall or buy anything I couldn't return. She told me the for sure would be at the 20 week anatomy scan.
So we have an 80% chance of a girl! Holy moly I cried...

I know the whole reason is to check for Downs, but I somehow ended up with a mean midwife for my first 10 week appointment and didn't get an ultra sound.
Do they give you a print out of the ultra sound at this appointment? I don't want to have to wait...

I got a few with DS2's nt scan.
It was a long scan so it was wonderful to see so much! Definitely a relief bitty little toes.

Last time, I went in for my NT scan at what we thought was 11.5 weeks, and they ended up moving my dating scan is the more accurate in terms of dating (which has a +/- of 6 days I think.
