I was reading couple articles about different fuel technologies and their byproducts (coal, oil, natural gas, etc) And i thought about the nuclear spent fuel. So far every one agrees that spent fuel is "dirty" and we need to find a way to get rid of it...

The "hot" contents dumped over someone's wall and said containers... .
The containers would have been dragged to the surface.
I suspect "if" this was located under the Wirral, after a couple of weeks someone would have dug their way down to the repository .
