I use the nylon straps on my superstrats and....
Leather straps are good, but often (for some reason) seem as the nylon strap for adjustments on your shoulder.
Leather for my LP Strap, Nylon on the others.

I have a pretty good pile of nylon web straps, and no use for them. They were used to secure our Simplicity mowers in their crates for delivery. I would call them a medium weight, and they are all 1" wide by 18 to 48" approx length. None are much longer...

I've been advised to keep my bag at no more than 5% of my bodyweight, which leads me to believe i can no longer carry leather bags. so, so sad.
