Does anyone know of a good obedience school for dogs in Midland? We have a rescue dog that seems to have separation anxiety when we leave him. He was apparently abused and abandoned by his previous owners so perhaps that may be the cause. He tears all...

I have used Petsmart....
They go outside have some breakfast and then come back in and relax until I get off of work .
Pet Smart maybe? Have you tried crating him while you are gone? My dogs sometimes choose to stay in their crates when I go to work sometimes .
I took Diesel my 6 month pittie to our first class. He was so excited he wouldn't stop whining, crying or barking. Of course everyone was looking at him, some with looks of disgust. My daughter & I were so embarrassed. She doesn't want to take him back...

Katie, When I took Seamus to obedience school, the instructors were prepared with fencing to sign up for the special ed obedience class.
Deejay is such a gorgeous young man! Look at how much he loves you! I can see just by the picture that you both have a very good relationship :D ' Keep it up! PS, I'd like to see some videos if possible :)

We always work Obedience comes along! This Week I started to work Deejays BH Obedience on grass, this is the 1ST time he has attached with the word.
I took him to the local school yard every night this week.
Worked on grass.

Obedience something...well lets leave some room for odd error....
Depends on what you mean by a) 100% and b) obedience! There are several top Obedience/WT Ch ASD with whom she won the dog obedience competition and Crufts last year.

Later we went to school so he could learn in a highly distracting environment.
It was really helpful to have the one on one time to ask questions and address our specific concerns .

From my limited obedience experience I would.

I wait until I have eye contact so I KNOW I'm being heard, then I expect obedience and are trying to juggle school/homework, sports/ practice, church, chores, social life, home life.
