How can i set my status offline for some friends. In the sidebar the option only for GO OFFLINE Completely . I want only hide my online status for 1 Facebook friend. How can i set this.

Hope and move the people whom u don't want....
For example, go to your profile, then select "Friends you are done organizing, you can set your status online or offline according to your list.
You need to make custom lists for friends.

What is actually the purpose of offline mode. does it somehow manages the caching system of the browser. or it just skips the host resolution part, dont know for what. what probably the designer had in mind, when he developed the offline mode feature....

You can use that offline cache to offline mode and then browse through....
Sometimes you are out and you need to check something on web . .
And expensive (there are quota or time based) so offline is very good feature to have for them.

The problem I think is that Microsoft created their own 'protocol' regarding file transfer and offline.
Don't know about the offline messages.

I have alot of friends on my friends list playing both Sc2 and WoW, its nice to have them all able to contact me, but having a dozen people trying to bug me during 1v1's is getting irritating. Appear offline mode would fix that :)
