First oil change is not due for 15k or one year, whichever That is an interesting turn of events....
As far as the oil change goes, that was mentioned by someone on here a while back.
It does not appear there is room for a second battery.

Are these all current codes properly.
Having a weak battery will cause phantom codes.
Of coolant would cloud up the oil & it would be lightened in color and can whip up air bubbles, & have what comes back.

ScOObz, I don't remember if 97s had em, but check under your battery tray and see if have a temp sensor for the battery..
The battery is being drained.
Tried to look it up online couldn't find anything. What oil do you recommend? And what is the appropriate Battery type for this model engine? Thank you

They're a bit ....
If it's still 6v, I would recommend an Optima 6v battery.
As for the battery, is your system 6v or 12v? If it's 12v, any good battery will work just fine.

At 25 it was 700/650 a 70F battery it tested 750 out of 65....
I had a 70F battery it tested 750 out of 650..
Found an interesting result on an OE MB 100Ah group 49 battery in my 240D: OE manufacturers do it varies slightly with temp.

Knackered battery and/or alty? Is it the oil light thats on as you mention in your title or battery light, or both? Thinking of oil / battery light; could be alternator, battery, chafed wires that are grounding....
