Candle source oils for wax melts Hi,
Can anyone recommend any candle source oils that have very strong hot throw and are long lasting in wax melts? I use paraffin.

Off the top of my head, the ones the throw rub (not a good seller though), Black magic, and Cucumber melon.

Once upon a time I bought candles in a sand bucket from the Pottery Barn outlet in NYC. Cheap, long lived (think they lasted me 8 years . Yeah but keep in mind back then I only used 'em intermittently) and easy to get.
They are now alll gone, the PB outlet...

No joke The first candle was beeswax but lamps were made with animal the movies about Arabian Nights or....
The ancients made a pot like you have seen in allIt was made out of beeswax .
Fats rendered into oils like whale oil and such.

Interesting comparison as all old Jeep owners use lots of this stuff.
I am going to try the home brew, I am a big fan of Kano Kroil and it is costly.

Wurth makes an amazing penetrating oil product..
CRC has the new "Freeze-off"...works pretty well...supposedly freezes by it. .

I usually get evoo thats the cheapest but on Barefoot Contessa one day I saw her tasting different olive oils. I wonder if its worth getting a more expensive one or go with the cheapest. Also, I just bought Greek olive oil from the local Greek market ...

candle- only way to tell would be to taste the oil first and decide if you likegood olive oil is like wine- the taste depends on the soil (location), the sun and rain that year really enjoying a cold pressed extra....

I sometimes use the new Crisco, (containing palm).
