Remember the saying, "Get your kicks on Route 66." Our bus tour stopped at Seligman on the way is still proudly wearing his Route 66 cap.

Not exactly a 4wd question, but if any one has travelled Route 66 - what are the 'must see' bits?
Not just the Grand Canyon kinda stuff, but those quirkly little bits of history or places you never forget!

Doing Route ....
They showed alot of the old Route 66 that people don't really notice these days.
To follow the old route 66 for a little bit, stopped at the Roadkill Diner and had soft drink out of jam.

It's just occurred to me that doing Route 66 would be a hoot to celebrate my 66th birthday, indeed, what better?
I'm not sure I want to do all of it (or, I believe I should say what is left of it) because it's 2,500 miles long and I have an idea that ...

I travelled from Oregon....
From lake havasu where old london bridge is up to oatman pillion and insisted on spending the extra Id have to agree with Schtum about Route 66.
It on a scooter I did part of route 66 last year.

The Caverns are sweet! I as well stoped at some cavens right off route 66 on that section of Route 66.

A new tv series started here tonight..Gunna watch it all(if I can)
Billy Connolly cruisin Rt66 from Chicago..on a trike..Been through Pontiac,Normal,Atlanta,Springfield,etc so far..Very kool scenery,and music..Love watching anything like that...
