Yes, you can install as many versions as you like since Opera 6 (a well 9.63 to 9.64 an error message

When closing opera 9.64, I use the delete personal data option and
then close opera. I notice there's a lot of activity on my router at
this time. Checking my firewall, deleting personal data starts a
flurry of activity to a number of websites. e.g....
