The buttons are there and work if you know where to click, but they aren't visible.
Opera 11.61; Windows 7 x64 SP1; Intel Xeon W3550; 12GB DDR 1333 the same problem (Win 7 64 professional).
And none of them had the buttons.

Opera mangles Facebook, ugly buttons Is there user.css to unmangle Facebook's "buttons" (Like, Comment etc), now that Opera has decided to mangle them into damn ugly looking real buttons.
It's not just bad that Opera decides it's got the right to mangle...

That is freezing will crash Opera
All of these problems will disappear if I reboot — they seem to be associated with waking up the computer from Standby mode.

Too many websites with silly Site Preferences -> Scripting....
Because Opera has no right-click menu for buttons, its internal menu won'tI believe Opera deliberately fails to pass right clicks to scripts.

I'm starting out using opera, and i want a simple toolbar for often used bookmarks like in firefox. I know that there's "Speed Dial", but that's not really what i'm looking for. Is there a feature builtin or a widget for this?

I have placed mine here becauseRight mouse button on the interface -> Appearance -> check "Personal Bar"
Edit : more simple remove them from the Personal....
Appearance > buttons > Browser and drag out the bookmarks button.
