How is it? the local nursery in my town has some kind with extra bat guano and stuff for 29 a bag. is it worth it? or should i try and order fox farms and some other stuff? what else would i need to throw in the mix?

We have a few good soil building$29.00 per bag? Is that a typo? Black Gold soil actually has a nice consistency for growing to be a bigass bag.
Can build a good organic soil and never need to fertilize or ph.

I am most familiar w/hydro setup for my grows. Due to circumstances I cant go into, i have switch to organic soil. whats the best way to control the pH of soil? Thanks for the help in advance

Buying a good soil mix is key
If you want to chase pH in soil, check the runoff and use your Ocean forest.

Gonna be starting a fresh grow next week and thinkin of replacin the soil. Any one use the canna pro soil? Wot do most of you lot add to your soil in a chemical grow? Just fishing for suggestions really... Thanks.

Brocks and bagged up like canna ect is canna have disolved the briks into soil with PH'D water so if u go for bricks remember to ph the water u use to break them down into soil,then u dont need to ph ur.

I have just had my garden landscaped (removing a massive terrace full of rubble), however its now down to faintly yellow looking clay, all the black soil on top has gone. It reminds me of the stuff I used at school to make pots out of!

You can check your soil by scraping away the organic material on
top compost and soil....
Garden soil should be 30% - 40% sand, 30% - 40% silt, and 20% - 30%
clay.
Garden soil shouldn't be more than 5% organic material.

I'm tired of burning the crap out of plants. I searched for a soil feeding recipe but non of them had measurements. It was like put this in and put that in and mix this and mix that. I don't trust a recipe that has no measurements.
