Need to build outboard motor stand: Any plans, pics, suggestions? Well, I'm about to build an outboard motor stand. Anyone have any good suggestions on an easy, uncomplicated, and above all, cheap approach to this? Any pics, plans, etc. will be appreciated...

This is a Garelick 31600 outboard stand.
Can be used for up to 30HP.
Very little use but I did use it for my Merc LS 9.9 last year.
Very easy to use and in excellent condition.
Strong aluminum tube frame - Tough alloy drawn aluminum up to 25 percent stronger...

Would these woodin stands hold realy my big v6 motor? Best bang for the buck is the 4 leg engine....
When you're done, you've got both..I couldn't resist.
An automotive engine stand and bolt on what you need for your outboard.

Trying to find designs that meet this criteria (if possible?).
- traditional look with preference toward glued lapstrake but open to other build styles/techniques.
- absolute 13' 0" max length.
- thoughtfully designed outboard well with cover and ventilation...

A covered motor well will eat up a lot of your most useful interior space couldn't have a 13 footer with a ....
Purpose row/sail/motor designs that will take a small outboard very nicely such as Harry Bryan's Daisy are not practical.

Short of sleeping in your boat, what are you doing to keep your outboard on your boat when you aren't there? Some are lucky enough to have inside storage, but my drifter is lucky to live in an open carport.
I have a bicycle cable lock, but I am looking...
